There are several high-quality secondary state schools in the area, including Netherhall, St Bede's Inter-Church School and The Manor (a foundation school with a performing arts specialism), as well as Coleridge, Parkside and Chesterton Community Colleges.
A new secondary school, Trumpington Community College, is being developed by the City of Cambridge Education Foundation/Parkside Federation on the Clay Farm development, which is close to Trumpingington Meadows. The school will open in 2015, with a capacity for 750 students and extensive facilities accessible by the community.
