From the outset, the development strategy has been one of community involvement and close working with the local planning authorities.
This has helped to establish the basis for an integrated and successful community that can benefit both new and existing residents.
Engaging with stakeholders
Trumpington Meadows held two Stakeholder Forums in November 2004. The themes and issues arising from these sessions have since been discussed with a variety of groups and individuals. These include the Cambridge Preservation Society, the Trumpington Residents’ Association, Trumpington Environmental Action Group and Wildlife Trust.
The proposals for Trumpington Meadows have also been subject to the statutory consultation that has been undertaken by both South Cambridgeshire and Cambridge City in developing their respective plans and frameworks for the city’s southern fringe.
Further consultation will be undertaken by the two authorities with the submission of the outline planning application, and as details of the development are subsequently brought forward.
